My car broke down again last week only confirming my suspicions that it knows when I have money in savings.
On one of these oh so awesome bus rides I encountered my first odd-ball. I am just as surprised I was convinced I’d meet one sooner.
Last week I’m on the number 11 heading home from the Tacoma Dome station after a ride that lasted two hours because of the Mariner’s game.
On this ride home some guy was blabber on and on about how his buddy forgot to defrost the turkey before Thanksgiving. Yep a Thanksgiving story in July. It’s like Christmas in July but lamer.
Anyway … I guess that the buddy thought that if he ran the turkey through the dishwasher it would defrost or something. The “funny” part is the guy started telling me this story when I was clearly not engaged. He just launched into this story as if in the middle of it. I wasn’t even looking at him; in fact, I had to look around the bus before I realized that he was speaking to me.
Then when he noticed that I was not listening to him he started tapping me and saying “Isn’t that funny?” over and over again so the bus driver told him to stop touching me.
I ended up getting off the bus early and walking four blocks home.
