Inside joke folks, inside joke.
So it’s Saturday night and I’m just hanging out at home after going out to dinner with C. We were supposed to go to the movies too but nothing seemed good. I wanted to go see Rambo, but let’s face it - it just wouldn’t be the same as watching it with D and well that’s just not going to happen ... so on with the night.
So I’m sitting at home, contemplating doing my homework and I think “Huh, I wonder what’s on Direct TV? Oh look Eastern Promises; I think I’ll watch that.” Holy cow talk about some disturbing scenes. The naked fight scene was especially really hard to watch. Not because of the naked part mind you, just because it was pretty intense. Not as intense as watching shooting scene in The Departed, where pretty much everyone bites it, but intense just the same.
I think I might have to dig in my movie collection and watch something a little cheery before hitting the old sack. I don’t want to dream of tattooed men stabbing each other in the eyes tonight. Okay maybe the tattoo guys without the violence…

Same for me, Eastern Promises is too much but I guess it's the director, his previous film A History of Violence is equally disturbing.
