Last night I went to an outstanding production of The Seafarer by Conor McPherson at the Seattle Rep. Actually it was the first preview and they warned the audience that they were working out bugs, but let me tell you there weren’t many bugs and I’m looking forward to going again for its normal run because if it was that good on the first preview night then its going to blow audiences away when the bugs are worked out.
The show really reinvigorated my love of theater. I’ve been out of it for so long with school and the crazy work life, it was nice to feel connected to something creative again. I even went home and wrote for a while, which is leaving me very tired today and I have a To Do List that can’t be ignored.
Sometimes you just have to suffer for art.
