I frequent the blog of a stranger.

That's right I said it, I frequent the blog of a stranger. I found it in a Google alert for work when the stranger went to a performance of Play! and her blog was trapped in the Google net … I think the author is funny, terrible funny and so I’d go to her blog every so often to see what nonsense she was up to, especially when the nonsense in my life is at a minimum.

She post pictures of herself regularly on her blog and it’s been quite a few months since I discovered this blog, so I know what she looks like pretty well. I’ve seen her twice in Seattle now. I’ve stopped reading her blog because on the last occasion when I saw her, I was very close to approaching her to tell her how I read her blog and enjoy it immensely. Thank God my sanity was pumping that day because that would have been really embarrassing.

Isn’t it funny that in the age of the internet you can feel like you know someone without really every meeting them? The true is that no matter how honest they are in their virtual diaries, it’s still impossible to really know someone when you haven’t met them, because it’s the full version of someone which allows you to truly form a perfected opinion. Which in itself is probably based more on whom you are then who the person is, but that’s too deep to get into when I have a paper due in 2 hours.

  1. I'm with ya! Having cruised the usual blogs in T-town for a few months now when I see the bloggers at the market I feel like I should go talk to them. On the other hand it's how I keep up with you!

  2. If you go up and talk to them then you might be able to make their page :)
