In a contest between pedestrian and car – the car wins every time

The commute to Seattle isn’t really all that rough on me. I know everyone’s like “oh I couldn’t do it.” But for some reason I can, that’s not saying that I don’t get annoyed – often - at the stupidity of the other drivers and their lack of ability to use their blinkers as well as their need to eat ridiculous things while driving like a bowl of cereal.

BUT you know what really gets to me… pedestrians – they are crazy. Here they are just rambling along crossing the street on a red, la-dee-daing as they go. I especially like it when they run across at the last possible moment of the crosswalk light as if they couldn’t possibly wait for the next one as if the world would totally stop or something. Of course they’re not paying any attention to the cars that are waiting to turn and are now mucking up the traffic going the opposite way. Today I saw someone almost get creamed on the hood of an SUV. That would not have been a pretty site I assure you…

I guess if you hit a pedestrian you might feel all bad and stuff but I think of it as Darwinism … You know cleaning up the gene pool at stuff like that…
