I’m getting into the spirit of things. I even came home from work, completely ready to dive into my homework. So I put in my A to Z of Classical Music CD because not only am I learning the finer points of business accounting, but I also need to become more familiar with the ins-and-outs of classical music. In a nutshell I’m tired of asking dumb ass questions at work.
From the CD I’m finding that I don’t really dig Mendelssohn’s Wedding March for Midsummer Night’s Dream, but I am enjoying Symphonie fantastique by Berloiz. Weird, huh? This is from a girl who names Rage as one of her top-ten all-time favorite bands, a girl who has seen the Chili Peppers perform six times in three different states and a girl who got kicked in the face with a combat boot covered foot in a mosh-pit at one of the first Lollapaloozas! Yeah, not only am I dating myself here but I’m sort of fibbing – I was on the outskirts of the mosh-pit!
Recalling my heavy metal past I did start to feel a bit stuffy, so I ended up playing old school Madonna – which I know is not metal – but whatever. After a while I had to throw in my obsession of the moment - Jenn Lindsay. By the way if you don’t know who Jenn Lindsay is check her fucking out. I added one of her songs to my otherwise bare Myspace page. I owe the Debbers big time for introducing me to this singer. She so totally rocks in this awesome banjo-picking-twangy-singing sort of way. I f’en love her!
Anyway … I’m stalling. I don’t want to tackle my accounting homework. I wouldn’t be so far behind if I knew how to say no. I went out all weekend, then again on Monday with M – dinner with J & L on Tuesday and I now I’m screwed! I’m sure I will be staying up all night trying to figure out why my assist don’t match my owners equity. It was worth it though – going out I mean, all good people to see.
