I’m not the gal you can sell a bridge to

And so the house search continues. Last weekend I found three really good possibilities. After going back and forth between them I decided on one and put in an offer. My offer was about $4,000 less than asking.

I’ve got to say, the offering process has been less than ideal for me. First, I was asked to write a letter describing who I was and why I’d be a good homeowner – because apparently I have to convince these people I’m, not going to turn their house into meth haven – woo hoo good times.

Second, my agent make me put in it that I had CP, which is a card I don’t ever play. Seriously folks this walk does not define me and if people think it’s the most interesting thing about me then they are missing the boat, completely. But I did it, because this stupid walk does limit my housing choices, so I wrote the freaking bleeding heart letter. The process was now stained.

Third, the “homeowners” wanted me to make a full priced offer as well as pay all their closing cost. PLUS, I was told that they discovered termites so I’d have to deal with that because they wouldn’t.

Termites? Really? Awesome, that’s like have built-in roommates. Heck why don’t I just add another 10 grand to that offer because obviously I am getting a sweet deal here.

I have two words for them: BITE ME!

And so the house search continues…
