Sometimes the stupidly of people truly astounds me. Like when I was listening to the radio and a DJ was giving her spill of why everyone should be a vegetarian. According to this brain surgeon if people didn’t eat cows then land would be freed up for crops instead of cattle raising as well as a gas reduction because there would be no cows and therefore no more cow farts. Just a point of clarification, if we stopped eating the cows that doesn’t mean they disappear, unless you’re also planning a mass extermination of Mister and Mrs Cow.
Then there was the argument I had over the weekend when someone (who will remain nameless) tried to tell me that Shakespeare writes the most beautiful love stories… What the hell are you talking about dumbass? Which one is so beautiful? Is it when Romeo and Juliet die at 13? Is it when Othello strangles Desdemona? Is it when Lady Macbeth convinces her husband to commit murder and then freaks out and kills herself? Is it when Ophelia goes crazy because Hamlet took her virtue and then spurned her until her only option is to drown herself? Even his “comedies” have horrific love components. In Midsummer’s Nights Dream it’s the “magic” of a spiteful fairy king that sends everyone into mismatched love pairs…
I hate it when people talk like they know something and are all cocky about it. When I don’t know something I keep my mouth shut.

It was a mother of a weekend
It’s my fault really. I didn’t need to stay out until 11:30pm on Friday buying shoes and having a late dinner with Christine, especially since I knew I had to be at mom and dads by 7am the next morning, which means up at 5am in the car by 6am all on a Saturday! Of course I could have gotten up later if I would have packed the night before (see shoe story above).
When I get to mom and dads they aren’t even ready, we’re talking still in robes sipping on some coffee – strike number one for the day. Then when we finally load into the car its 9 freaking 30 in the am – strike number two. Then some luck, we got on the ferry right away (which never happens on a busy “holiday-type” weekend). BUT THEN we circle for an hour because the ferry before us had two dillholes who thought it was hilarious to say that they had a bomb in their truck. So the ferry was evacuated and the bomb squad was called all while me and my folks are drifting with many others looking longingly at the dock that we can not get to.
Then Sunday rolls around and we stuff our face with burgers, hangout with the extended fam and head back to home (after kicking grandma and grandpa out at the rest home ala Simpson style… At the ferry terminal we discovered that the 4:30pm ferry was not coming – ever – because the wind was too strong so we had to drive around the Island to catch a different ferry. I got home at 10pm…
That’s a lot of quality time with mom…

Um? Yeah you’re an idiot
Have you every talk to someone who actually renders you unable to speak because they are, in fact, the dumbest person you’ve ever met? They’re so dumb that just their near vicinity makes you unable to form coherent words and phrases?
Is that a yes? Well welcome to my world where stupid surrounds 24-7. I often wonder how some people can actually tie their shoes let alone drive a motor vehicle. On a bright note I found out Live is playing Marymoor Park in July. I am now the proud owner of a pair of row eight center seats to that show. I'm pretty sure my seats will be next to dumb and his friend ass.

I need to up my text message plan
Tonight I blew through all my allotted 100 text messages per month plan. Why? My brother and I were watching the movie Solarbabies - he in Mount Vernon, me in Tacoma – and it was very important to comment throughout the movie to each other. Text messaging has become my brother and I’s way of making smartass comments to each other even when we're miles apart.
