I saw the narcoleptic panhandler again this morning… I thought he had died in a freak fall-from-sidewalk-get-runover-by-car accident. However, my thoughts were interrupted when I saw him on the entrance to the Emerald City off ramp.
You go narcoleptic panhandler, you go.

Late night grocery
Coming home this evening after spending two hours with John Water and I have to stop at the grocery store. I need to pick up two things: tampons and brownie mix – both items I forgot during my weekend grocery store visit.
I walk in and there are three people working this evening … a clerk, a bagger and a security guard – all male. And I couldn’t just but brownie mix and tampons so I ended up buying $60 worth of food.

What’s with the dirt?
What is it about independent films that make you think that you’re watching a family from circa 1982? What is with the clothes or the cars? This weekend was my only free time in-between classes so like any overachiever I stuffed as much into it as I possibly could. Including movies, movies, movies… I watched three independent films that I had been eyeing, but lacked time between school work and my real life.
First up … Juno … Dialogue reminiscent of Dawson’s Creek with an early 80’s feel. I liked the fact that she had a hamburger phone. Why? Because it showed that she was still very much a child, it made you understand that she really didn’t have the capacity to raise a child. Plus, if she was actually as smart as the dialogue would suggest then she would have know that in order to prevent a baby, a condom is a really smart weapon of choice.
Wristcutters: A Love Story … yeah it was crap... When a movie is called Wristcutters and is followed by A Love Story you really should know you’re in for an hour and 45 minutes of crap. This was time I should have spent making the world a better place – or at least making my apartment a bit cleaner. But I can’t be brilliant all the time.
Lars and the Real Girl … Did anyone else want to scrub down the entire cast with a bar of soap and some elbow grease. Have you ever heard the saying “You have so much dirt behind your ears you could grow potatoes?” Well if that was true than the whole cast could have produced truck fulls of potatoes. When they were washing the sex doll all I could think was “You’re dirty too – get in, get in!” Once I got past the dirt, I thought it was a touching film about loneliness.

Feelings, nothing more than feelings...
I went to karaoke in the international district last night for one of my coworker’s goodbye party. The place was really sketchy, in all those awesome ways. It was like frat boys to the left of us, gangster to the right and an old bald Asian guy singing John Lennon songs...

Well Hello there stranger, why don’t you have a seat and tell me some personal information??
I’m at the dentist office and I’m a little tender because 45 minutes before that I was at the gym working out with my awesome trainer trying to get in tip-top bathing suit shape before my Hawaiian va-k. (side note: I have lost some inches, in my bust – not happy! See I can share unwanted information too.) Anyway, I’m talking to a gal in the office about working out (it’s funny how once you start going to the gym you become this monster who talks about bicep curls and the like) and she starts on this story about how she her sister was begging her to sign up for the gym with her, but she didn’t want to and then three months later her sister died and how she now regrets that she didn’t sign up for the gym because she could have all that one-on-one time with her sister. I’m sorry but what do you say to that story? I was very much thrown for a gigantic loop. How in the world did we end up going from bicep curls to sister who passed away suddenly?
This is just another case of someone throwing up a story on me that I did not want or was prepared for. Never before in my life had I been so excited when the technician called me back into the dentist lair, and never before have I gotten up from a chair that fast either.

P.S. I also got rear-ended last night because some chic was on her cell phone getting broken up with by her boyfriend. I’m still really pissed at that girl and can’t really talk about it without wanted it smash something real hard.
